What can we learn from examining specific practices from two different religions?
What's learned from two different religions is that these one of the religions towards different uses of there God.
The two religions I'm interested in are Rastafari and Jehovah Witness.
Jehovah Witnesses identify themselves as Christian but don't believe in the same beliefs as Christians. Jehovah Witnesses don't represent the cross which represents Jesus Christ and that's the Lord's child. The new testament was never known as the the new testament because Jehovah Witnesses never even glanced at the bible. Toward respecting the religion it's totally respected because they still do there dues,parts and take responsibility for there actions. Jehovah Witnesses are known to walk from door to door every Sunday to try to turn you into there religion,but that's not that's to it.
Thus, Acts 2:23 in conventional English translations says, "... by nailing him to the cross," but the New World Translation reads, "... fastened to a stake." Similarly, Mark 8:34 in the New International Version says, "If anyone would come after me, he must ... take up his cross and follow me.
The meaning of this statement
was to turn the tables on the
religion,so they can use Christianity
in there religion Jehovah Witness.
" The New World Translation has, "... pick up his torture stake and follow me continually."
